Speed Switch

A speed switch, also known as a speed sensor or motion sensor, is a device used to monitor and control the speed of rotating machinery and equipment. 3. Hall Effect Speed Switch: Hall effect speed switches use a Hall effect sensor to detect changes in the magnetic field caused by the rotation of a magnetic target. The sensor generates pulses based on the magnetic changes, allowing the speed to be monitored and controlled.

4. Inductive Speed Switch: Inductive speed switches use an inductive proximity sensor to detect metal targets on rotating equipment. The sensor generates pulses as the metal target passes by, enabling speed measurement and control.

5. Proximity Speed Switch: Proximity speed switches use various proximity sensors like capacitive, inductive, or ultrasonic sensors to detect the presence of a target on the rotating equipment. By counting the pulses generated as the target passes by, the speed can be determined.

6. Tachometer: A tachometer is a type of speed switch that directly measures the rotational speed of the equipment using mechanical, electrical, or digital means. It provides continuous speed monitoring and display.

Speed switches are crucial in industrial processes to prevent equipment damage, optimize performance, and enhance safety.
